Deike Peters

Deike Peters is associate professor of environmental planning and practice at Soka University of America (SUA). She has a PhD in planning and policy development from Rutgers University and additional graduate degrees in urban planning and international affairs from Columbia University. As a German-American environmental urbanist with wide experience as a scholar, activist, and international consultant, she has spoken and published widely on urban infrastructure megaprojects, high-speed rail, sustainable mobility, outdoor equity, and many other environmental topics. Her current focus is on multispecies urbanism and urban nature restor(y)ation. For details, visit her personal and faculty pages at SUA.
