Deike Peters

Deike Peters is associate professor of environmental planning and practice at Soka University of America (SUA). She has a PhD in planning and policy development from Rutgers University and additional graduate degrees in urban planning and international affairs from Columbia University. As a German-American environmental urbanist with wide experience as a scholar, activist, and international consultant, she has spoken and published widely on urban infrastructure megaprojects, high-speed rail, sustainable mobility, outdoor equity, and many other environmental topics.
