Nicholas Lougee received his PhD in sociology in 2010 from the University of Oregon. He is the Vice-President and Director of Research for the Dennett Consulting Group, a contract researcher for the International Society for Technology in Education, and is a social-science learning specialist with the Department of Support Services for Student Athletes at the University of Oregon. He studies environmental sociology, social movements, political economy, social networks, and classical theory. His research explores the factors that contribute to oppositionality of environmental organizations.
