Amélie Le Renard

Amélie Le Renard is a sociology researcher at the CNRS [French National Centre for Scientific Research] (CMH-PRO unit). She conducted an ethnographic study in Riyadh, published under the title Femmes et espaces publics en Arabie Saoudite (Paris: Dalloz, 2011). In this study, she analysed the way in which the mobile lifestyles adopted by certain Saudi women, in the context of gender segregation, transform standards of femininity and social hierarchies.
